Artist Statement
Felt Presence is an installation combining the archival ephemera of Catholic material culture with alternative photographic processes. Drawing on the tradition of images made “without human hands” and relic veneration to study the roles that media and technology play in influencing our beliefs, viewers are invited to question their perceptions and acknowledge the presence of invisible hands that guide their lives.
